Why the Coalition?

Currently, there are 22 school/community coalitions in Fairfax County under the umbrella of FCPS Safe and Drug Free Youth Section. The coalitions are funded by the Safe and Drug Free School/Community Grant of 1994. The Chantilly Community Coalition reorganized in 2001. It exists as a proactive organization of schools, businesses, and community volunteers concerned with the violence, alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention for youth in our community. Everyone is welcome to participate. This is your Coalition.

Coalition Initiatives:

  • Create activities that are free from substance abuse and violence.
  • Prevent alcohol, drug, and tobacco use by youth.
  • Teach our children how to be safe and resist peer pressure.
  • Enhance our sense of family and community.
  • Promote positive character development.
